Jeniel, 19, graduated from high school early. Little did he know that when he made that decision, he would be graduating in the middle of a pandemic. Jeniel also became a husband and father in 2020. A budding entrepreneur, he had started his own part-time care detailing business, but with a new, young family he needed something more secure. Green Careers Dallas got Jeniel signed up for safety training and he began work with Skygate Solar LLC (our lead instructor’s business) learning on the job. He then went to work at $16/hour for Freedom Solar Power, a Preferred Partner of Green Careers Dallas. Jeniel then went to work for Good Faith Energy at $21/hour. His wife is now able to go to college full-time, and they have had their second baby.
