In March, Green Careers Dallas, Freedom Solar Power, Skygate Solar, LLC and Sunrun partnered to host field trips for the Dallas ISD Career and Technical Education students at GCD’s Outdoor Installation Lab and a ground mount install in Grand Prairie. The students had the opportunity to learn about #solarpower, #climatechangesolutions and #solarinstallation, all while gaining hands-on experience in the field.
As a 501(c)(3) organization committed to fighting climate change, we understand the importance of educating students about the impacts of our abnormally warming planet and the benefits of renewable energy. By teaching the next generation about solar power, we’re creating a brighter future for our planet and communities.
This field trip is just one example of how Green Careers Dallas and employer partners promote environmental sustainability and provide pathways to careers in the growing green economy. We are proud to partner with Freedom Solar, Skygate Solar, Sunrun and the CTE Centers of Dallas ISD in this important work and look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in Dallas communities.
